Locallista launches the Locallista Guarantee, putting its own money behind the businesses it ranks

A rating backed by a promise

The guarantee rests on the way Locallista builds its ratings. Businesses are vetted before they are listed, with phone calls to their past clients. After every hire, Locallista collects the client’s review, almost always in a phone interview, and publishes it as told, good or bad. Reviewing is a condition of using the platform, so a score reflects every client, not only the ones who felt strongly enough to write. A business whose average falls below 9 out of 10 is removed, not pushed down the list. There are no ads, no paid placement and no sort button: position depends on performance alone.

The results of that system are what make a free guarantee possible: more than 97% of the clients who hire a business through Locallista are satisfied with the work.

“Every platform asks you to trust its ratings. We decided to put our own money behind ours,” said Amir Kirshenboim, founder and CEO of Locallista. “We don’t sell this guarantee and it isn’t insurance. We vouch for the businesses listed on Locallista because we know how they work: we speak to their clients after every job. If we are ever wrong about one of them, we would rather pay for it ourselves than leave it to the person who trusted us.”

How it works

1. Request and agree. The user finds a business with the Locallista Guarantee badge, requests its contact details on Locallista, and agrees the service with it.
2. Activate. Once the service is scheduled, the user activates the free guarantee on the business’s page, at least 12 hours before the work starts.
3. Not happy? Get it redone. If the work isn’t right, the user tells the business, has any provider they choose do the work again, and sends Locallista both invoices within 28 days of activating. Locallista pays back the extra cost, up to €750, within 30 days, or within 7 days when the second provider is also from Locallista.

The business that did the original work pays nothing and moves no money: Locallista carries the cost of every approved claim. Businesses are told when a client activates the guarantee, and the client must tell the business about a problem before anyone else redoes the work, so the business always gets the chance to offer to put it right. The guarantee covers completed work that has to be done again; it is on top of the user’s legal rights, never instead of them.

Two years, five cities

Locallista launched in Lisbon in September 2024 and has since opened in Barcelona (2025), Madrid, Singapore and Amsterdam (2026), with Luxembourg next. More than 10,000 people use it to find more than 700 vetted businesses across close to 200 categories. The platform is free for users; businesses pay a service fee only on completed, paid jobs, set per category in advance.

“The guarantee is not a promotion,” Kirshenboim added. “It’s what the system we built for two years makes possible. As we open new cities, the standard doesn’t move: it’s the same call after every job, and now the same promise.”
