Beatriz

Singapore on Jul 2026

I engaged with them last month. I had a very fast and good experience with them because the team communicated very clearly. When I told them what I wanted, they gave very good advice, and the quality exceeded my expectation. The colors were very nice and comfy, and they were more affordable than I expected. I searched for other companies and they were the most affordable ones, I highly recommend them.

I went to Chiropractic Studio for neck problems from intensive triathlon training, and after 3-4 months of weekly treatment I’m now without neck pain. Shaan and the team explain what’s happening during each session, and their front desk is super quick on WhatsApp for rescheduling and updates. I found them through Google Maps and liked it so much I bought a package and keep going weekly. Not the cheapest, but absolutely worth it.

Beeling

Singapore on Aug 2026

I went for a package of four 1-1 sound healing sessions with Gillian, and it was my first time doing this. She made me feel very welcomed, her voice is quite calming, and she spent time explaining what sound healing is and what outcomes I could achieve. I have chronic shoulder pain, and she planned the sessions around my objectives instead of using an off the shelf kind of session, and she also gave me homework to do at home. After the sessions, I could feel a significant improvement in my shoulder pain, and I felt it was fair value for the service I got.

Important to know

Settling into Singapore is easier than most places, because everything runs in English and almost everything can be done online. The hard part is working out who to trust, since there is no shortage of people willing to take the job. Locallista is a directory of local service providers in Singapore. Every business is screened before it is listed and every review is phone-verified, so the order you see reflects what real customers experienced, not who paid the most. Two local habits are worth learning early. A price shown with a double plus has service charge and GST added on top, so ask whether a figure is nett before you compare two quotes. And some trades are licensed for good reason, so it is completely normal to ask for the licence number. Browse by category, read the reviews, and get in touch directly with a free account.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find a professional I can actually trust in Singapore?
Browse by the job you need, then read the recent reviews rather than the star count alone. Every business here is screened before it is listed, and the ordering comes from phone-verified reviews, so you are reading about work that really happened. For licensed trades, ask for the licence number as well and check it yourself.
Are the providers on Locallista vetted?
Yes. Every business is screened before it goes on the site, and every review is collected and phone-verified by our team, so what you read comes from real customers. Paying to be listed never buys a better position.
Is Locallista free to use?
Yes. Browsing, reading reviews and contacting providers is free with a free account. Businesses pay to be listed, but that has no effect on where they appear. The order comes from real, phone-verified reviews.
What does the double plus on a price mean in Singapore?
It means the figure you are looking at is not the figure you pay. A 10% service charge and 9% GST are added on top, which puts the final number close to a fifth higher. Not every business quotes this way, so the useful question before comparing two quotes is simply whether the price is nett.
Which trades have to be licensed in Singapore?
The ones where bad work is dangerous. Electrical work needs an EMA licensed electrical worker, plumbing that touches the public water supply needs a PUB licensed plumber, and building work falls under BCA. Property agents are on the CEA public register, which you can search yourself by name or phone number.
Do I need a permit before renovating my flat?
For an HDB flat, usually yes. Your contractor has to be on HDB's registered list to apply for the permit, and work like hacking or altering the structure is not allowed without one. Noisy work is limited to weekdays within set hours. Condos have their own management rules, so check with the building before booking anyone.
Which cities does Locallista cover?
Singapore, Lisbon, Barcelona and Madrid today, with more on the way. Each city has its own screened providers and its own reviews from the people who live there.
