I’ve had maybe four sessions with Maria, the psychologist, all online, and I spoke to her last week. She’s great, very flexible with scheduling, and she definitely personalizes the sessions to me. I haven’t noticed progress yet, but I think that’s the process, and I’m going to talk to her next week. The price feels fair and I would recommend her.

Had some serious bodywork issues — dents, chipped paint, and rust spots. They handled everything efficiently and kept me updated throughout. The final result was incredible: smooth finish, perfect paint match, and no sign of previous damage. Honest team, great communication, and fair prices.

I went on Tiago's pub crawl and city tour in Lisbon and it was a really great time. We went to three bars and a club, got free shots, and he did a lot of activities to help break the ice so everyone connected. He was really knowledgeable and really funny, answered everyone's questions, and just had great energy. The price was good, super reasonable, and definitely worth it for the whole experience.

Important to know

Moving to Lisbon is exciting, but the hard part is sorting out daily life in a language you're still learning, finding a plumber when something breaks, a doctor when you're unwell, or a lawyer for your visa. Locallista is a directory of English-speaking local service providers in Lisbon. Every business is screened before listing and every review is phone-verified, so the ranking reflects real expat experience, not who paid the most. Browse by category, read genuine reviews, and contact providers directly with a free account.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find English-speaking professionals in Lisbon?
Browse Locallista by category, plumbers, doctors, lawyers, cleaners and more, and open any listing to see the languages they speak, their reviews and how to get in touch. Everyone listed serves the English-speaking community in Lisbon, so you're not guessing whether you'll be understood.
Are the providers on Locallista vetted?
Yes. Every business is screened before it's listed, and every review is collected and phone-verified by our team, so what you read comes from real customers. The ranking reflects genuine expat experience, not who paid the most.
Is Locallista free to use?
Yes. Browsing, reading reviews and contacting providers is free with a free account. Businesses pay to be listed, but that never buys a better position, the order is based purely on real, phone-verified reviews.
Do people speak English in Lisbon?
Yes, widely. Portugal is one of the most English-proficient countries in Europe, and in Lisbon you'll get by easily in English day to day. The catch is that the people you really need, a plumber, a family doctor, a lawyer, don't always speak it, and that's exactly who we help you find.
What should I sort out first when I arrive in Lisbon?
Most people start with the essentials: your NIF (tax number), a local bank account, somewhere to live, and registering for healthcare. After that it's the day-to-day, a doctor, a dentist, someone for home repairs. You'll find English-speaking help for all of it here, and our category pages give you a sense of what each service typically costs.
Do I really need a NIF to get set up?
Almost certainly. Your NIF (tax number) is one of the first things you'll need in Portugal, for everything from a phone contract to a lease. If you'd rather not navigate it alone, browse our Legal, financial & administrative category for English-speaking accountants and relocation specialists who can sort it, often before you even arrive.
Which cities does Locallista cover?
Right now Locallista is live in Lisbon, Barcelona and Madrid, with more cities on the way. Each one has its own vetted, English-speaking providers and reviews from that local expat community.
