When I was nearing my due date, I decided to try acupuncture to help induce labor, and I'm glad I did. Jorge was highly recommended by a friend from my mom group who had seen impressive results for her back pain. The process was smooth, his clinic was welcoming, and his gentle approach made the session comfortable; I went into labor just a few days later.

I warmly recommend Daniella's service. I started with bouquets for the house and then asked for a special flower crown for a birthday, and she customized everything upon request, whether dry flowers or fresh flowers. She was very welcoming, very creative, and gave a very professional result - the flowers are fresh, lovely, and she gives a lot of options to choose from. It has been an ongoing process because I ordered over and over again, and when my friends and colleagues saw her flowers, they ordered too.

Kseniia’s team did an in-depth clean of my new three-bedroom apartment before I moved in, and they were very, very thorough. They also cleaned my one-bedroom apartment really thoroughly, moved the furniture, made sure there was no cat fur or smell left anywhere, and did a great job on the kitchen and the fridge as well. They worked really hard, were absolutely lovely people, and from everything I saw, they did everything I expected.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there English-speaking mechanics in Lisbon?
Yes. Plenty of garages in and around Lisbon are used to working with expats, and many have at least one mechanic who speaks English. The hard part is knowing which ones before you hand over your keys, so every garage we list is reviewed by other expats who've actually used them.
How do I find a mechanic I can trust here?
Word of mouth is everything in a new city. Ask in expat groups, then check the reviews before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified, so you're reading real experiences, and you can see which garages are comfortable in English.
What is the IPO car inspection and do I need it?
The IPO is Portugal's mandatory roadworthiness test. Cars usually need their first one at four years old and then every couple of years after, and it's a quick, low-cost check. Many garages will book it and take the car for you.
Can someone work on my motorbike, not just my car?
Yes. Several specialists in Lisbon handle motorbikes and scooters as well as cars. Filter by what you need and check the reviews to find someone who knows your type of bike.
Will a mechanic give me a quote before starting?
A good one will, and it's completely normal to ask. If there's a language gap, ask them to write the estimate down. The pros we list are used to explaining the job to international customers.
