I brought my BMW X6 in for service and they answered me very good. I even brought it back after a year and they were very very helpful in getting not just services but things done much cheaper than at BMW. They were helpful in everything and still remain to be very helpful. Good guys, I’d highly recommend them.

I bought a DS7 Crossback from Dream Cars and they had many good cars. I found the exact model I wanted in impeccable condition, we skipped the test drive because we already knew what we wanted, and they quickly sent the car for the inspections and checks. The negotiation, signing of the documents and delivery were fast and on time, and when a small electrical failure showed up later they informed us, sent it to the brand to verify and gave us a replacement car while it was under repair - we were very well assisted. Communication was always clear, everyone was nice, and the price felt fair after they lowered it a bit.

I originally wanted to sell my car and buy a new one, and I ended up buying my new car with Dreamcars. I felt no pressure during the visit, the car selection worked for me, and the paperwork went smoothly with them being quite helpful. I spoke mostly in English, sometimes Spanish, and while not everyone had great English there were one or two people who did so it was fine. Pricing felt fair with a bit of negotiation possible, and I would definitely recommend them.

Frequently Asked Questions

What expats want to know before hiring car dealers in Lisbon.

Are there English-speaking car dealers in Lisbon?
Yes, and more do as the expat community grows. The hard part is knowing who is reliable before you book, so every one we list is reviewed by other expats who have actually used them.
What should I check before hiring car dealers in Lisbon?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and an estimate in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check they hold the right credentials for the job.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other expats' reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and communicates clearly.
What should I avoid when hiring car dealers in Lisbon?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.
How do I explain what I need if my Portuguese is limited?
A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.
How do you say car dealers in Portuguese?
In Portuguese, car dealers are usually called stands automoveis. That is the word to search for or to ask a neighbour, though many professionals here are used to the English term too.
How do I find car dealers I can trust in Lisbon?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real expat experience, not who paid the most.
