I had already worked with David before, so I already knew his work and hired him again for one of my projects. He is remodeling all the electricity in the apartment from scratch, and I do the civil construction part while he installs all the electrical part. He also gives me several smart home solutions for this type of work, so it is a valuable help. Communication is very good, he is polite, and the price feels fair.

I hired Tomas to fix a leaking rooftop terrace. We couldn’t find the source, so we’re re-flooring and waterproofing the whole upstairs deck, enclosing part of it, and adding a retractable pergola. The project is still underway, but communication has been great, an engineer comes by to oversee, and the crew is here every day, responsive and really nice, so I feel like we’re in good hands, though I don’t want to jinx it. It’s a big job and a bit expensive, but so far so good.

I hired Matt for water damage in my hallway, some repainting and redoing, and re-siliconing. In my case there was a lot of miscommunication in the process, but it was also my fault partially, as I did pressure Matt with time. The first written quote felt a lot higher than I expected, and when the work started it was his colleague who came, which I had not understood initially. That first time, I felt some things were missing from the plan we agreed on and the house was left dirty, so I was pretty upset, especially considering the cost. But I did complain right away, and Matt was polite and friendly, and he really did try to get everything sorted within short time and leave it the way we had agreed.
