I’ve been with Sheela for maybe five years, with regular sessions three times per week, and she was very good from the beginning. She is well trained and has an outstanding understanding of the body and how things play together, which always impressed me. I started because I wanted to do something for my body and improve my core strength, and over time Sheela adjusted the program to my requirements when I realized I also needed balance and other things. I’m still in a recovery phase after surgery, but as soon as everything is fine again, I will go back to her for my regular sessions.

I initially hired Sheela for my mom, who is a senior citizen with mobility issues, and then I joined the yoga sessions too. In the same one hour, she managed to curate lessons for both of us and balanced it almost seamlessly well. My mom had chronic knee pain and was able to walk much better, and the relaxation techniques also helped her sleep better, and for me she worked on my very tight hamstrings and mobility. It was on the expensive side, but I saw results by the fifth or sixth session and had a really good experience.

Singapore, Mar 2025

I first met Sheela in group yoga classes and went for quite a long time, more than a year. Later I booked her for private one on one lessons, and she was very good at leading the whole yoga subject matter, particularly making it individualized. I feel like it's not something I'm really good at, and she managed to make it into something I enjoyed and was comfortable doing. She is extremely good at what she does, and I would have no hesitation recommending her. Although I found the private lessons a bit expensive, you do get what you pay for.

Pilates at your home

How much does a Pilates instructor cost to come to your home in Singapore?

Singapore studios don't publish a home-visit rate, so an instructor coming to you is quoted case by case, normally a private-session fee plus travel. Use the S$125 to S$200 a studio charges for a private on its own premises as your floor, and ask what equipment comes with them, since a reformer rarely travels.

Pilates at a studio

How much does Pilates at a studio cost in Singapore?

A group reformer class at a Singapore studio costs S$38 to S$73 as a drop-in, and class packs bring that down to S$30 to S$53. Nearly every studio sells a cheap first class, so try two or three before committing to a pack, and ask whether the price is nett, since the odd studio adds GST at payment.

Group classes

How much do group Pilates classes cost in Singapore?

Drop-in group classes run S$38 to S$73 depending on the studio, with the big boutique names clustered around S$45 to S$55. Intro offers are where the value is (5 classes for S$85 is typical), and packs of 10 to 30 classes settle at S$30 to S$53 each. Check the validity window before you buy, some packs expire in 30 days.

Online sessions

How much do online Pilates sessions cost in Singapore?

None of the Singapore studio guides price live online classes, so a session over video is quoted by the instructor, and it's nearly always mat work. If you'd rather follow a programme at home, a set of resistance bands and sliders costs S$15 to S$25 once, which is less than a single studio class.

Outdoor sessions

How much do outdoor Pilates sessions cost in Singapore?

Pilates in Singapore is almost entirely an indoor, equipment-based affair, and none of the studio guides price outdoor sessions, so it's quoted case by case. Expect a mat-based private or small-group booking priced off the instructor's private rate, and agree up front what happens if it rains.

How much does a private Pilates lesson cost in Singapore?

A one-to-one session with a certified instructor costs S$125 to S$200 in Singapore, rising to S$200 to S$270 for a founder, head trainer or instructor trainer. Most studios sell a discounted private trial first, and a 10-session pack saves S$50 to S$300 overall. Ask who'll actually be teaching before you buy a pack, since rates are tiered by seniority.

Mat Pilates

How much do mat Pilates classes cost in Singapore?

Singapore studios lead with reformer and that's what the price guides cover, so a standalone mat class rate is hard to pin down. Where mat classes exist they tend to be bundled into all-access plans rather than sold on their own, so ask the studio and compare against the S$38 to S$73 a reformer class costs.

Reformer Pilates

How much does reformer Pilates cost in Singapore?

Group reformer classes cost S$38 to S$73 as a drop-in, with most boutique studios in the S$45 to S$55 band. First-timer deals are generous: a single trial from S$28, 5 classes for S$85, or a 5-day pass for S$49 that allows one machine class a day. Bigger packs drop the rate to S$30 to S$53 a class, and an unlimited membership runs around S$350 a month.

Pilates for sports

How much does sports-focused Pilates cost in Singapore?

There's no separate price list for sports Pilates in Singapore; it's normally built as a private programme after an assessment, so budget the one-to-one rate of S$125 to S$200 a session, or S$160 to S$295 if a physio is running it. If you just want a hard, athletic reformer workout, the dynamic group formats cost the ordinary S$38 to S$73.

Physio-led one-to-one

Prenatal Pilates

How much does prenatal Pilates cost in Singapore?

Singapore studios tend to handle pregnancy one-to-one or in physio-led settings, so budget private rates: S$125 to S$200 with a Pilates instructor, or S$180 to S$295 with a physio or chiropractor, which can be insurance-claimable with a referral. A private intro with a postural check (S$80 to S$109) is the sensible first step, and a few studios do run pre and postnatal classes on the regular timetable, so ask.

S$125 to S$200
Clinical session, physio or chiropractor

Pilates for rehabilitation

How much does clinical or rehab Pilates cost in Singapore?

Clinical Pilates is taught by physiotherapists or chiropractors and costs S$160 to S$295 a session in Singapore, against S$125 to S$200 for a fitness private. It's often claimable on health insurance or a corporate plan with a doctor's referral, so check before you pay. Physio-led studios also run group reformer classes at S$39 to S$66, a cheaper way to keep going once the pain has settled.

S$160 to S$295

Group classes in Catalan

Can you find Pilates group classes in Catalan in Singapore, and what do they cost?

No Singapore studio advertises group classes in Catalan, so there's no going rate. The realistic route is a private session with a Catalan-speaking instructor at the usual one-to-one price, or a standard group class taught in English.

Group classes in Dutch

Are there Pilates group classes in Dutch in Singapore, and what do they cost?

Group Pilates in Dutch isn't something Singapore studios list, so you'd be arranging it privately. Ask whether a Dutch-speaking instructor is on the team and expect the normal private rate if so; otherwise the English-taught group classes cost the standard S$38 to S$73.

Group classes in English

Do group Pilates classes in English cost more in Singapore?

You won't pay extra for it. English is the default teaching language in Singapore studios, so a group class costs the ordinary S$38 to S$73. If you plan on twice a week, compare monthly plans and the larger packs rather than the drop-in price, since that's where the real saving sits.

S$360 to S$440

Group classes in French

Are there Pilates group classes in French in Singapore, and what do they cost?

French-language group classes aren't advertised by any Singapore studio in the guides we read, so there's no set price. A private with a French-speaking instructor would cost the ordinary one-to-one rate; the group classes themselves run in English.

Group classes in German

Are there Pilates group classes in German in Singapore, and what do they cost?

You're unlikely to find a group class taught in German in Singapore, and none of the studio guides list one. If an instructor happens to speak German, a private session at the usual rate is the way to get it; group classes run in English at the standard price.

Group classes in Portuguese

Are there Pilates group classes in Portuguese in Singapore, and what do they cost?

Portuguese-language group classes aren't on offer at the Singapore studios in our guides, so there's nothing to price. Your options are a private with a Portuguese-speaking instructor at the normal one-to-one rate, or the English-taught group classes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What people want to know before hiring pilates in Singapore.

What should I check before hiring pilates in Singapore?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and a price in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check the credential yourself rather than taking it on trust.
How are prices quoted in Singapore?
Watch for prices shown with "++". That means 10% service charge and 9% GST are added on top, so a quoted S$100 is really about S$120. Ask whether a figure is nett before you compare two quotes.
Do I need a licensed professional in Singapore?
For some trades, yes, and it is not optional. Electrical work needs an EMA licensed electrical worker, plumbing that touches the public supply needs a PUB licensed plumber, and building work falls under BCA. Ask for the licence number.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other people's reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and turns up when they said they would.
What should I avoid when hiring pilates in Singapore?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.
How do I find pilates I can trust in Singapore?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real experience, not who paid the most.
