I hired Giulia and her team to fix our website and make it more professional. They adjusted fonts, pictures, and spacing, and overall it was good and we are still working with them to finish this first job. A few things were not perfect at first, so I had to check everything and ask them to fix small things, which took quite a bit of time, but communication was fine and they were professional, kind and respectful. Price felt fair, even a bit cheap compared to another quote I had.

I wanted help increasing traction on my website and have some guidance because I’m not a tech person. Girls Who Web guided my assistant on connecting everything; Google console, analytics, making sure everything works, and gave suggestions to improve the website.
She was responsible, on time, and if a meeting was supposed to be one hour, she didn't mind running it longer to make sure she completed things properly. When my assistant was in an earthquake and we had to stop, she was super flexible. The price felt fair and even though we didn't work together for a long time yet, I will definitely reach out to her again if I need any services.

Giulia helped me upgrade the website I already had for my small business, and supported me with digital marketing on Instagram and Facebook. She still maintains the site, helps when things go wrong, and even sorted out a cyber attack. She is very responsive and reasonably priced: it feels fair.
She did great. Just now and again things haven't happened as quickly as I'd like and maybe the communication hasn't been perfect, but when stuff goes wrong last minute, she jumps in on weekends and gets it sorted. Any problems with my website, she's the person I go to, and the little group sessions we had to learn different things were really supportive.

Booking and membership sites
How much does a booking website cost in Singapore?
Booking and membership sites sit above a standard business site because of the integration work, so from S$5,000 upward and into the S$15,000 to S$30,000 range once payments, accounts and a calendar are involved. Integration work alone is S$55 to S$145 an hour. Before commissioning anything, check whether an off-the-shelf booking tool does it. For most Singapore clinics, studios and salons a subscription booking system connected to a simple website is far cheaper than building the same thing, and it comes with reminders and payments already working.

Business websites
How much does a business website cost in Singapore?
A small business site of five to ten pages is S$1,500 to S$5,000, a basic informational site from a freelancer S$800 to S$3,000, and a corporate site S$5,000 to S$15,000. Singapore designers charge S$30 to S$140 an hour depending on experience, or S$400 to S$1,050 a day. The thing that most often delays a website is not design, it is content: your text, photographs and product details. Ask whether copywriting is included, because most quotes assume you supply it, and a half-finished site waiting on your words is the usual reason a four week project takes four months.

Landing pages
How much does a landing page cost in Singapore?
A single landing page is the cheapest thing a designer builds, well below the S$800 to S$3,000 a basic site costs, and often quoted as a day or two of work at S$400 to S$1,050 a day. It is the right purchase when you are testing an offer or running ads to one specific thing, and a much better first step than a full site if you are not yet sure the business works. Ask that it is built so you can edit the text yourself, because a landing page you have to pay someone to change is a landing page you will stop optimising.

Online shops (e-commerce)
How much does an online shop cost to design in Singapore?
E-commerce design and build is S$5,000 to S$30,000, with a Shopify store on a customised theme in the lower half at roughly S$5,000 to S$12,000 and a fully custom checkout at the top. Add the recurring costs, meaning the platform subscription and a transaction fee on every sale. The design decisions that actually move revenue are unglamorous: how fast product pages load, how few steps the checkout takes, and how it behaves on a phone, which is where most Singapore traffic comes from. Ask to see a store the designer built that is currently trading, not a concept.

Portfolio and personal sites
How much does a portfolio website cost in Singapore?
A personal or portfolio site is at the bottom of the range, S$800 to S$3,000 from a freelancer, and less again on a website builder where the annual subscription of around S$144 covers hosting and SSL together. For a portfolio, the honest advice is that the work matters far more than the build: a simple site with excellent images beats an elaborate one with poor ones. Budget for photography rather than for a custom design. Register the domain in your own name at around S$20 a year, and keep it even if you change how the site is built.

How much does Shopify design cost in Singapore?
A Shopify store designed on a customised theme is roughly S$5,000 to S$12,000, and a simple one on a stock theme with your products loaded can be S$2,000 to S$5,000. The full e-commerce range is S$5,000 to S$30,000 once custom work is involved. Most of the design value is in the product pages and the checkout rather than the homepage, which is where people instinctively want to spend. Add the platform subscription and per-sale transaction fees on top, and judge the whole first year rather than the build price alone.

Webflow and Framer
How much does a Webflow or Framer site cost in Singapore?
These sit between a builder and a custom build, so expect S$1,500 to S$5,000 for a small business site and more for something design-led, at designer rates of S$30 to S$140 an hour. They buy you a level of visual control a template builder does not, without the cost of hand-coding. The trade-off worth knowing: fewer Singapore designers work in them than in WordPress, so if your designer disappears the pool of replacements is smaller. Ask who else could pick the project up, and make sure the account is in your name.

Wix and Squarespace
How much does a Wix or Squarespace site cost in Singapore?
The platform itself is around S$144 a year with hosting and SSL included, which makes total first year cost roughly S$164 against about S$640 for a self-managed setup. Paying a designer to build on one of them is at the cheap end of the range, S$800 to S$3,000, since the platform removes most of the technical work. This is the honest recommendation for a small business that needs a presence rather than a project: it launches quickly, you can edit it yourself, and the money saved is better spent on photography and on being found.

WordPress
How much does a WordPress site cost to design in Singapore?
A WordPress build on a bought theme is S$800 to S$3,000 from a freelancer and S$1,500 to S$5,000 for a small business site with your content in. Custom templates for a corporate site are S$5,000 to S$15,000. Running costs are hosting from S$150 a year, a domain at around S$20 and an SSL certificate around S$70 unless bundled. WordPress is still the right default for a content-heavy site, and the main thing to settle is who keeps it updated, since an unmaintained install is the most common route to a compromised small business site.

Hosting and domain setup
How much does hosting and domain setup cost in Singapore?
Hosting is from about S$150 a year, a domain around S$20 and an SSL certificate about S$70 unless the host includes it, giving a first year around S$640 for a self-managed setup against roughly S$164 on an all-in builder subscription. Setup itself is usually an hour or two of a designer's time at S$30 to S$140. The one thing to insist on: register the domain and the hosting under your own company name and email. It costs nothing to do and is the single most common avoidable problem when a business parts ways with its web designer.

Maintenance and updates
How much does website maintenance cost in Singapore?
Basic maintenance starts from about S$200 a year, with ad-hoc changes billed at S$30 to S$140 an hour. Read what a plan actually covers, since the word stretches from applying security updates to making content edits on request, and those are very different services at similar prices. Two questions decide whether a plan is worth having: does it include updates and backups, and what happens when the site goes down on a Saturday. If you expect to change content often, ask for a build you can edit yourself instead, which removes the need for most of these requests.

Mobile-friendly design
Is mobile-friendly design an extra cost in Singapore?
It should not be. Responsive design has been standard for years, so a site quoted at S$1,500 to S$5,000 is expected to work on a phone and any designer charging separately for that is charging you for the baseline. Where a genuine extra cost exists is retrofitting an old site that was never built responsively, which is often close to a rebuild and priced accordingly. Given that most traffic in Singapore arrives on a phone, ask to see the designer's previous work on your own handset rather than on their laptop, which is a quicker test than any conversation about it.

SEO setup
How much does SEO setup cost in Singapore?
Basic setup at build time, meaning page titles, descriptions, a sitemap, analytics and making sure the site can be crawled, should be inside a S$1,500 to S$5,000 site build rather than an extra. Ask whether it is. Ongoing SEO is a separate monthly service and a different market with very variable quality. The technical part is a day or two of work at S$400 to S$1,050 a day. Be sceptical of anyone guaranteeing rankings, and be more interested in whether your site loads quickly on a phone, which matters more than most of what gets sold as SEO.

UX and UI design
How much does UX and UI design cost in Singapore?
Design work is billed at S$30 to S$140 an hour or S$400 to S$1,050 a day, and on a fixed-price site it is usually the first phase rather than a separate purchase. Buying UX on its own makes sense when you already have a product that people find confusing, and the deliverable is wireframes and a flow rather than a finished look. Agree the number of revision rounds up front. Design is where scope quietly expands, and the difference between two and unlimited rounds is the difference between the quote you accepted and the invoice you receive.

Website redesign
How much does a website redesign cost in Singapore?
A redesign is priced like a new build, S$1,500 to S$5,000 for a small business site and S$5,000 to S$15,000 for a corporate one, because in practice most of the work is the same. Where it differs is migration: keeping your existing URLs, content and search rankings intact is real work and it is the part cheap quotes leave out. Ask specifically about redirects. A redesign that changes every URL without them will lose the search traffic the old site earned, which is an expensive way to get a better-looking website.

Frequently Asked Questions
What people want to know before hiring webdesigners in Singapore.
What should I check before hiring webdesigners in Singapore?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and a price in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check the credential yourself rather than taking it on trust.
How are prices quoted in Singapore?
Watch for prices shown with "++". That means 10% service charge and 9% GST are added on top, so a quoted S$100 is really about S$120. Ask whether a figure is nett before you compare two quotes.
Do I need a licensed professional in Singapore?
For some trades, yes, and it is not optional. Electrical work needs an EMA licensed electrical worker, plumbing that touches the public supply needs a PUB licensed plumber, and building work falls under BCA. Ask for the licence number.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other people's reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and turns up when they said they would.
What should I avoid when hiring webdesigners in Singapore?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.
How do I find webdesigners I can trust in Singapore?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real experience, not who paid the most.
