I’ve been going to them for about eight years already, for my mani- and pedicures and it's always done well. The salon is inside an old building but the place is very nice, and when they moved locations I moved with them. If you come first thing in the morning, they are always punctual, but later in the day they might be running late so there is room for improvement there. The price is fair and they’re all very kind and professional.

I’ve been with Serene and the esBoudoir team for more than 12 years for manicures and pedicures, and before that I also did waxing. I followed them through their moves and I actually prefer the new Chinatown spot in the little creative hub, it’s central and easy to get to. They respond very quickly, are always on time, professional and kind, and they were ahead of time letting us know about moves and what to do with packages; they also reward loyalty, which I appreciate. The nails turn out as expected every time and the price feels fair, within range, not cheaper than others but not more expensive either.

I go to esBoudoir for manicures and pedicures, I first found them at their old location and stuck with them because they pay close attention to the latest nail trends and have a really comprehensive selection of colors. Booking is easy with their WhatsApp chat and they are quite responsive, always very punctual, and I never wait more than five minutes. The new location at Pearls Hill feels more relaxed than before, they serve a cup of tea, and the staff are skilled, quick and diligent and can adapt designs to the latest trends. Price feels fair for the complexity I usually ask for, though a little bit higher than some other places.

Frequently Asked Questions
What people want to know before hiring beauty salons in Singapore.
What should I check before hiring beauty salons in Singapore?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and a price in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check the credential yourself rather than taking it on trust.
How are prices quoted in Singapore?
Watch for prices shown with "++". That means 10% service charge and 9% GST are added on top, so a quoted S$100 is really about S$120. Ask whether a figure is nett before you compare two quotes.
Do I need a licensed professional in Singapore?
For some trades, yes, and it is not optional. Electrical work needs an EMA licensed electrical worker, plumbing that touches the public supply needs a PUB licensed plumber, and building work falls under BCA. Ask for the licence number.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other people's reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and turns up when they said they would.
What should I avoid when hiring beauty salons in Singapore?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.
How do I find beauty salons I can trust in Singapore?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real experience, not who paid the most.
