Locallista opens in Madrid
After Lisbon and Barcelona, Locallista opens in Spain’s capital, home to one of the fastest growing international communities in Europe.
LISBON, PORTUGAL, May 2026 - Locallista today opened officially in Madrid, bringing its trusted ranking of local businesses to an estimated 150,000 expats in Spain’s capital. Madrid is Locallista’s third city and its second in Spain, and it opens on a model already proven by more than 16,000 users and more than 700 active businesses in Lisbon and Barcelona. From day one, Madrid’s international community can find professionals who have been vetted before they are listed and are rated by every client they serve.
Built on two proven markets
97% of clients who hire through Locallista are satisfied with the work, and its Net Promoter Score of 68 places it alongside some of the most recommended service brands in the world.
A place that has to be earned
Locallista has removed more than 200 businesses that did not meet its standards. That is what keeps the ranking worth trusting: a business is listed only after it is vetted, and it stays only while its clients keep rating it highly.
A brand people talk about
More than 10,000 people follow Locallista on Instagram, and hundreds of businesses have shared their story in video interviews and on social media.
Spain, a market with room to grow
With Barcelona and Madrid, Spain is the first country where Locallista operates in more than one metropolitan area, and it sees room for many more. Valencia, Málaga and Palma de Mallorca are each home to an estimated 100,000 expats, and together with Barcelona and Madrid, Locallista’s priority Spanish cities count more than 650,000 expats, according to its market research.
“Madrid is one of the cities in Europe where people come to build a new life, and the first thing they need is someone reliable to call,” said Amir Kirshenboim, founder and CEO of Locallista. “We want to change the way clients and local businesses work together, so it starts from mutual trust instead of doubt. Clients know every business has been checked and is rated by everyone it serves. Businesses know they are judged on the quality of their work, not on how much they spend on ads. When both sides can trust each other, everyone wins.”

About Locallista
Locallista is a trusted ranking of local service businesses: plumbers, electricians, lawyers, accountants and close to 200 other categories. Businesses are vetted before they are listed and reviewed by every client they serve through the platform, almost always by phone. Only performance decides position: there are no ads and no paid placement, and a business that falls below 9 out of 10 is removed. Founded in Lisbon in 2024, Locallista is live in Lisbon, Barcelona, Madrid, Singapore and Amsterdam. It is free for users.
