Locallista opens in Singapore and Amsterdam

LISBON, PORTUGAL, August 2026 - Locallista today opened in Singapore and Amsterdam, cities where newcomers make up a large share of the population. Singapore is Locallista’s first market in Asia, and Amsterdam joins Lisbon, Barcelona and Madrid in Europe, bringing Locallista to five markets on two continents. More than 20,000 users have registered on the platform, and more than 1,000 businesses have enrolled since it launched in Lisbon in 2024.

Both cities are home to large international communities, with an estimated 250,000 expats in Amsterdam and 150,000 in Singapore, according to Locallista’s market research.

Led by people who live there

In Singapore, the launch is led by Sharmin Reehman, who spent more than eight years helping startups launch and scale across Asia, including leading New Zealand’s incubator initiatives in the region. In Amsterdam, it is led by Jannu Frutos, a lawyer by background who built her career with global brands including Diesel and Crocs and is now building Locallista in the Netherlands from zero.

Same standard, new cities

Every business is vetted before it is listed and reviewed by every client it serves through the platform, almost always by phone. There are no ads and no paid placement. Businesses pay a one-time entry fee per city and a service fee only on completed, paid jobs, set per category in advance.
