Gelareh

Porto, Sep 2026

Henrique helped me with my immigration papers around two years ago, for myself and for my daughter, and they really did the best. I was so nervous in a new country and did not know anything, but they provided all the information in an easy way, answered me immediately, and followed up my case carefully all the time. They also helped me with my daughter’s registration, even though it was out of their work, they advised me where I had to go, helped me get the appointment, and took care of everything necessary for the progress. I even recommended them to five or six of my friends, and all of them were satisfied.

Esmeralda

Lisbon, Oct 2026

I had a good experience with Pedro Miguel for renewing my residency. He was very good at explaining what we are supposed to do with my situation, what my options were, and what would be the best course for us to win the case against AIMA. He was very communicative and very attentive to my case, and he provided the prices before anything. I do think it was too expensive compared to other lawyers, but everything else was good.

Vitalii

Lisboa, Sep 2026

I first contacted Lilia before COVID, when the office was in the Rua Castilho area, and I was originally recommended by friends. More recently, I met with the staff again at their current office. My experience was great in every category and I was really happy with everything.

Frequently Asked Questions

What expats want to know before hiring real estate lawyers in Lisbon.

Are there English-speaking real estate lawyers in Lisbon?
Yes, and more do as the expat community grows. The hard part is knowing who is reliable before you book, so every one we list is reviewed by other expats who have actually used them.
What should I check before hiring real estate lawyers in Lisbon?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and an estimate in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check they hold the right credentials for the job.
Are these lawyers properly registered in Lisbon?
Yes. Practising lawyers must be registered, with the Ordem dos Advogados in Portugal. It is fine to ask, and a reputable firm will confirm it.
What should I avoid when hiring real estate lawyers in Lisbon?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later. And never use someone who cannot show the right certification.
How do I explain what I need if my Portuguese is limited?
A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.
How do you say real estate lawyers in Portuguese?
In Portuguese, real estate lawyers are usually called advogados imobiliarios. That is the word to search for or to ask a neighbour, though many professionals here are used to the English term too.
How do I find real estate lawyers I can trust in Lisbon?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real expat experience, not who paid the most.
