Blanca

Juan has collaborated with me on different events and he is my usual provider when we have people eating at the winery. He is very flexible, very homely, and the food is rich, with locally sourced products, and he works our own products, like oil and cheeses, into his menus very well. I have used him for smaller events of 10 or 15 meals and also seated meals for 60 people, and he adapts very well to both. He is attentive if you want changes to the menu, and he also handles special diets very well, like celiac and allergens.

Iraida

Juan helped us with catering for an event for about 35 to 40 people, and the truth is we were very happy and everyone left very happy. I trusted him, told him to recommend the menu, and in the end we chose the food trays and everything worked out really well. He came with his team, arranged everything, and they were flexible when we wanted to organize the trays in a different way. I had also told him about allergies and a gluten intolerant person, and he brought everything separately for them, which was a really good detail and we were delighted.

Begoña

Madrid, Jun 2025

I hired Juan for my 50th birthday and then again for a friend's birthday, for parties of around 30 to 45 people, and it went very well. I gave him an approximate budget, he told me what he could offer for that budget, and where we were unsure, we followed his advice, and it worked out very well. He cooks at your home with care, works cleanly so nothing gets dirty, leaves everything tidy, and you really do not have to take care of anything. The quality was really good, the price felt fair, and I would totally recommend him.

Frequently Asked Questions

What expats want to know before hiring catering companies in Madrid.

Are there English-speaking catering companies in Madrid?
Yes, and more do as the expat community grows. The hard part is knowing who is reliable before you book, so every one we list is reviewed by other expats who have actually used them.
What should I check before hiring catering companies in Madrid?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and an estimate in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check they hold the right credentials for the job.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other expats' reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and communicates clearly.
What should I avoid when hiring catering companies in Madrid?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.
How do I explain what I need if my Spanish is limited?
A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.
How do you say catering companies in Spanish?
In Spanish, catering companies are usually called empresas de catering. That is the word to search for or to ask a neighbour, though many professionals here are used to the English term too.
How do I find catering companies I can trust in Madrid?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real expat experience, not who paid the most.
