I’ve been with Megan for a while, sometimes once a week and other times once a month depending on my schedule, with both online sessions and sometimes in person. I think she’s a very open person, she gives me the time to talk, and when I don’t know what to talk about anymore, she knows something to pick up. I find myself to be very comfortable with her, and I think that’s why I continue with her. I’ve already gone through a lot of things with her, and now if I still need some clarification or to talk with someone, I just text her and then I have a session.

I am really happy with Zeliha Stefanie, actually, and I feel really lucky with her. She is very, very professional, always helpful, always ready, and she always answers my messages. She is on time and communicates well with me. I would of course recommend her, and the price felt really good to me.

I’ve been working with Max and the team for a few years, and we did a lot of renovations with them, including an entire house. The service they provide is very good, very professional, always on the work, very clean and very organized. Communication was perfect and everything was okay with appointments. They do charge a lot of money for it, but you do get what you pay for.

What to know about moving & relocation in Amsterdam

A lot of what relocation services charge for in Amsterdam is free to do yourself. Registering at the gemeente, getting a DigiD and opening a bank account cost nothing but time and patience with Dutch forms. What you are really buying is speed, the language, and in this rental market an agent's landlord contacts. On the moving side, ask about the verhuislift: canal-house stairs often make a hoist necessary rather than optional, and a van parking permit from the gemeente is usually charged separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I do myself for nothing?
Registering in the BRP at the gemeente, which is also how you get your BSN, applying for a DigiD, registering with a huisarts, and opening a bank account. None of those has a fee. They take time and Dutch-language patience, which is what a paid service is really selling you.
Why is a movers' lift on my quote?
Because Amsterdam staircases are steep and narrow, and getting furniture up them is often impossible. The hoist goes up the outside of the building through a window. It is a real line on the bill rather than an upsell, and so is the parking permit for the van.
Are prices in Amsterdam quoted with or without BTW?
Check, because it varies. A price quoted to a consumer should already include BTW, and most trades show it that way, but plenty of price lists are still written excluding it. The rate is 21% on most work, though labour on a home more than two years old is taxed at 9%, and so are sports and fitness classes.
How do I check a business in Amsterdam is properly registered?
Ask for the KvK number and look it up in the Chamber of Commerce register, which is free and public. It tells you the business exists, what it is registered to do and how long it has been trading. Anyone who will not give you that number is telling you something useful.
How are businesses ranked here?
On their reviews, and every review is phone-verified, which means we confirm the person actually used the business before it goes live. Nobody can pay to move up the list.
How much do bureaucratic services cost in Amsterdam?
Most Amsterdam paperwork help runs €65 to €85 an hour, with a single form €55 to €65 and a tax return from €60, while gemeente registration, your BSN and DigiD are free.
How much do movers cost in Amsterdam?
Most Amsterdam moves run €350 to €850 for a studio or small flat and €1,200 to €2,800 for a house, with a verhuislift adding €150 to €350.
How much do relocation companies cost in Amsterdam?
The house search is the one relocation job in Amsterdam with a published price, about €1,800 to €3,600, while the gemeente, BSN, DigiD and bank steps are free and the rest is quoted per case.
