I took Ike's pregnancy course at House of Balance. It covered theory about pregnancy and delivery plus some practical things and exercises, and it was very useful with a very nice atmosphere. Every class, Ike asked how it was going with everyone, and after the delivery she answered my questions, sent tips and a few addresses for treatments, very helpful during and after. Communication was easy and always accessible, they were on time, and the price felt fair for Amsterdam.

I did the prenatal yoga and birth prep course with Ike, a mix of gentle relaxation yoga and solid theory, and it was really pleasant. We met in the evenings, the rooms were nice, we started with tea, and we always began by talking about how the pregnancy was going, which was super valuable for me as a foreigner. There was a WhatsApp group and an online platform with all the dates, notes, and some videos, and when I missed the partner workshop Ike did an extra online session just for us - really flexible. I’m still in the program, taking the pre-birth course plus a natal yoga class. Each lesson starts with a knowledge session about preparing for labor (the stages of labor, how to face the contractions, and which movements help), then we do a quick yoga session about half an hour with the breathing and movements we just discussed. I’ve taken around six classes and there’s a partner class too so my partner can get ready for the labor. It’s professional, always on time, communication is great, and price feels reasonable, though I’ve taken similar courses before that were more informative.
