Amsterdam, Jul 2026

I had a very positive experience with Lotte, for my Invisalign. The whole process took about a year and a half, and my last appointment was about a month ago, everything went very well and the people were very nice. I never had to wait, they were friendly and professional, and I really have nothing to complain about. It is a bit on the expensive side, but for the service I received I found it worth it.

Review of Lotte, Oct 2024

I used the orthodontic service for 6 months and had a checkup every other month. I was happy with the service because the communication was clear, and it was easy to reschedule a checkup if needed. It was quite pricey, but not more than other places in Amsterdam, and overall I had a good experience.

Lotte fitted braces (Invisalign) for my son about a year ago, and it went very well. I am very satisfied with the result. They all were very friendly and professional, and the equipment was good. It was quite an expensive procedure for a child, and communication with the receptionists could have been a bit better, but overall I was very happy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What people want to know before hiring orthodontists in Amsterdam.

What should I check before hiring orthodontists in Amsterdam?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and a price in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check the credential yourself rather than taking it on trust.
Are prices in Amsterdam quoted with or without BTW?
Check, because it varies. A price quoted to a consumer should already include BTW, and most trades do show it that way, but plenty of price lists are still written excluding it. The rate is 21% on most work, though labour on a home more than two years old is taxed at 9%, and so are things like sports and fitness classes. Look for the word "inclusief" or "exclusief" next to the figure before you compare two quotes, and ask whether travel costs and parking are in there too.
How do I check a business in Amsterdam is properly registered?
Every legitimate Dutch business has a KvK number from the Chamber of Commerce, and you can look it up free in the public register. For gas, heating and electrical work there are extra schemes worth asking about, mainly SCIOS and InstallQ. A business that will not give you its KvK number is a reason to walk away.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other people's reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and turns up when they said they would.
What should I avoid when hiring orthodontists in Amsterdam?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.
How do I find orthodontists I can trust in Amsterdam?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real experience, not who paid the most.
