I had a couple of parental guiding sessions with Aneska over the last few months, and she helped me very well. She is very friendly and welcoming, and it feels like a safe person to talk to. She is also knowledgeable, very kind, and absolutely professional and respectful. Overall, everything was to expectation and I had a really good experience.

I had contact with Aneska because I had a fear of driving in my car and I wanted that to disappear. I had five online sessions and that worked. I don’t have a fear to drive in my car anymore, and even though it’s not that I like to drive, I don’t fear driving anymore. She was taking the time, and the price felt good.

Amsterdam, Feb 2024

Aneska worked with us for five years, mainly supporting our eldest son on a social and emotional level, and also physically with things like coordination and practicing certain skills. What we really liked, and still do, is that she knew very well when to be more hands on and how to approach things from a pedagogical side, and she could really apply that. Her work was very broad, her communication was always very clear, and the price felt reasonable. We still miss her now.

Frequently Asked Questions

What people want to know before hiring parental guidance in Amsterdam.

What should I check before hiring parental guidance in Amsterdam?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and a price in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check the credential yourself rather than taking it on trust.
Are prices in Amsterdam quoted with or without BTW?
Check, because it varies. A price quoted to a consumer should already include BTW, and most trades do show it that way, but plenty of price lists are still written excluding it. The rate is 21% on most work, though labour on a home more than two years old is taxed at 9%, and so are things like sports and fitness classes. Look for the word "inclusief" or "exclusief" next to the figure before you compare two quotes, and ask whether travel costs and parking are in there too.
How do I check a business in Amsterdam is properly registered?
Every legitimate Dutch business has a KvK number from the Chamber of Commerce, and you can look it up free in the public register. For gas, heating and electrical work there are extra schemes worth asking about, mainly SCIOS and InstallQ. A business that will not give you its KvK number is a reason to walk away.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other people's reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and turns up when they said they would.
What should I avoid when hiring parental guidance in Amsterdam?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.
How do I find parental guidance I can trust in Amsterdam?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real experience, not who paid the most.
