Martha

Madrid, Jul 2026

I have been using Mariangel and her team for a little over a year for cleaning, and I have been very satisfied with their work. What was especially important to me was communication, and they were very good about that from the start, helping scope everything out and making it easy to arrange. They are very reliable, have never missed an appointment, and if I need to make changes, I just send a WhatsApp message and they are always accommodating. For me it has been wonderful, and I could not be happier.

I hired Luis to clean my mother's house and it went really well. They were very punctual and efficient, did exactly what I asked, including a deep clean of the kitchen, the two bathrooms, the terrace, and the room, and nothing was damaged. Communication was good and the price felt fair. It was my first time with them and the experience was very positive, everything was excellent.

Dos and Don’ts as an expat

Mastering the art of cleanliness: essential dos and don’ts for hiring a deep cleaning service

Do’s
Do Prioritize Reliable Communication
Select a service provider who offers fluent communication, as this ensures that all your cleaning needs are addressed efficiently. Consider providers that have a key contact who can communicate clearly, facilitating a smoother relationship.
Do Look for Flexibility in Scheduling
Choose a cleaning service that offers flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs, especially if you prefer last-minute arrangements. A provider who can adapt to your schedule demonstrates reliability and customer-centered service.
Do Inquire About Staff Consistency
Opt for a cleaning company that assigns the same team members for each service. Familiarity with the staff boosts trust and ensures that your specific cleaning preferences are understood and consistently met.
Do Check for Thoroughness in Service
Ensure that the cleaning provider is committed to thorough and meticulous work, especially for deep cleaning tasks. Look for reviews emphasizing attention to hard-to-reach spots and the preparation of homes for move-ins, as these highlight professionalism.
Do Evaluate Pricing Transparency
Select a service that offers clear and fair pricing without hidden fees. Transparency builds trust and helps you feel secure that you are receiving value for the quality of the cleaning services provided.
Dont’s
Don't Underestimate Communication Barriers
When hiring a deep cleaning service, be mindful of potential communication issues, especially if staff may not speak your language. Ensure there is a fluent team member or adequate translation resources available to avoid misunderstandings about your specific needs.
Don't Ignore Flexibility in Scheduling
Prioritize services that demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, especially if you have last-minute requests. Providers who are not accommodating may leave you without timely help, creating inconvenience when you're in need of urgent cleaning assistance.
Don't Rely Solely on Low Prices
Be cautious of choosing providers based solely on their pricing. Extremely low rates could indicate subpar quality or inadequate service. Always consider the balance between cost and the credibility of the service offered before making your decision.
Don't Overlook Consistency in Staff
Request clarity on whether the same team members will be assigned to your cleaning sessions. Consistent staff can lead to better results, as they become familiar with your preferences and needs, which enhances overall service reliability.
