I did breathwork sessions with Lottie - kind of counseling through the breath - once a week for a year before doing her training, and it was completely life transforming for me. She’s very intuitive, well trained, and knows how to hold space, and I’m not easy to hold space for. I went back for a trade session last week as part of the training and it was again consistently great. Price felt fair and I honestly can’t say anything negative.

I’ve seen Anthony a couple of times for various issues with my back and neck, and he is just really wonderful. He listens hard, asks lots of questions to really understand, then literally resolves my issues every single time - I usually only need one session, and he even offers a quick free 10-minute check after. He gives me exercises so I get stronger and don’t have the problem again, and the relief has lasted. He’s very responsive, easy to book online, always on time, professional, and the price felt fair.

I met Audrey years ago and have been going back since. She’s a chiropractor who fixes the body based on the spine and also helps unlock the emotional part, which together has been really helpful for my health condition. Her space is super welcoming, feels like a second home, she’s kind and always explains what she’s doing, keeps learning new methods, and I can book online with her assistant often finding me a last-minute slot, though sometimes there’s a slight delay. Price feels fair for the results."

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find English-speaking professionals in Barcelona?
Browse Locallista by category, plumbers, doctors, lawyers, cleaners and more, and open any listing to see the languages they speak, their reviews and how to get in touch. Everyone listed serves the English-speaking community in Barcelona, so you're not guessing whether you'll be understood.
Are the providers on Locallista vetted?
Yes. Every business is screened before it's listed, and every review is collected and phone-verified by our team, so what you read comes from real customers. The ranking reflects genuine expat experience, not who paid the most.
Is Locallista free to use?
Yes. Browsing, reading reviews and contacting providers is free with a free account. Businesses pay to be listed, but that never buys a better position, the order is based purely on real, phone-verified reviews.
Do people speak English in Barcelona?
More than you'd expect, especially among younger people and in tourist-facing spots, but daily life and admin still lean heavily on Spanish and Catalan. For the services that actually matter, like a doctor or a gestor, an English-speaking provider makes life far easier, and that's who we list.
What should I sort out first when I arrive in Barcelona?
Most people start with the essentials: your NIE, a Spanish bank account, somewhere to live, and registering with the local healthcare system. A gestor (an admin specialist) can handle a lot of the paperwork for you. For everything after that, from a doctor to home repairs, you'll find English-speaking help here.
Do I really need a NIE to get set up?
Almost certainly. Your NIE is one of the first things you'll need in Spain, for renting, banking and most admin. Many people use a gestor to handle it. Browse our Legal, financial & administrative category for English-speaking gestores and lawyers who can help, sometimes before you arrive.
Which cities does Locallista cover?
Right now Locallista is live in Lisbon, Barcelona and Madrid, with more cities on the way. Each one has its own vetted, English-speaking providers and reviews from that local expat community.
