I went for Botox on the upper part of my face and the corners of my eyes. The doctor was very friendly and professional, did a very good evaluation, explained the product she uses and why, and took her time with the injections; at the check-up she noticed a slight difference and explained why she would put a bit more. The clinic is beautiful and everything felt really professional, and they were very fast to answer on WhatsApp and on the phone with follow ups, so I felt well taken care of and in good hands. Price felt a bit expensive but kind of the regular price, and overall I was very happy with the result.

I had a very relaxing, very positive experience at Annie’s beauty salon. I got what I think was the deluxe facial treatment - a bit more than an hour with back and shoulder massage, leg and feed massage, and lots of face masks - I think it even got an award a couple of years ago, and she explained everything before, during and after, like what I might feel, cold or warm, and asked if I was okay, even with the cloth mask where only my nose was open. She is calm, polite but not fake, and I left really relaxed, and the appointment started and ended when she said it would. The price is on the higher side, but for the care and products it was really worth it.

I go to Sophie for my face treatments for about two years now. She is very professional, takes the time with you, listens to what you need, and uses very good French products plus a German machine - she even brought in new things like Gua Sha after training. I book easily on the website, and when I come she looks at my face and says ok, perhaps today this one, the institute is quiet and clean, no noise, and she is on time. Price feels fair to me for the quality and the machine.

Frequently Asked Questions
What expats want to know before hiring beauty salons in Barcelona.
Are there English-speaking beauty salons in Barcelona?
Yes, and more do as the expat community grows. The hard part is knowing who is reliable before you book, so every one we list is reviewed by other expats who have actually used them.
What should I check before hiring beauty salons in Barcelona?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and an estimate in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check they hold the right credentials for the job.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other expats' reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and communicates clearly.
What should I avoid when hiring beauty salons in Barcelona?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.
How do I explain what I need if my Spanish is limited?
A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.
How do you say beauty salons in Spanish?
In Spanish, beauty salons are usually called salones de belleza. That is the word to search for or to ask a neighbour, though many professionals here are used to the English term too.
How do I find beauty salons I can trust in Barcelona?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real expat experience, not who paid the most.

With this guide, you can feel empowered to discover a beauty salon that truly understands and caters to your beauty ambitions.
Dos and Don’ts as an expat
Essential dos and don’ts for selecting the perfect beauty salon
Do’s
Do Prioritize Cleanliness and Hygiene
When selecting a beauty salon, prioritize those that emphasize cleanliness and hygiene. A well-maintained environment not only enhances your comfort but also signifies the salon's commitment to providing safe and high-quality services.
Do Seek Out Experienced Professionals
Look for salons with experienced and well-trained staff. Reviews highlight the importance of skilled service providers who understand customer preferences and deliver results that meet or exceed expectations consistently.
Do Check for Flexible Scheduling Options
Choose salons that offer flexible scheduling and easy communication options, such as online booking or messaging apps. This can enhance convenience, allowing for better organization of your beauty appointments.
Do Inquire About Product Quality
Before finalizing your choice, inquire about the quality of products used at the salon. Salons that use high-quality and effective products typically deliver better results, ensuring that your treatment outcomes are satisfactory and long-lasting.
Do Rely on Recommendations and Reviews
Trust in customer reviews and recommendations from friends when selecting a beauty salon. Personal experiences can provide valuable insights into the quality of service, ambiance, and overall satisfaction, minimizing the risk of disappointing visits.
Dont’s
Don't Ignore Cleanliness and Hygiene Standards
A salon's cleanliness directly impacts your experience and safety. Look for reviews highlighting a spotless environment, as neglecting hygiene can lead to infections or unsatisfactory outcomes. Prioritize salons that are consistently noted for their high standards of cleanliness.
Don't Rely on Poor Communication
Effective communication is essential in beauty services to ensure your needs are understood and met. Avoid salons with reviews mentioning miscommunication about services or dissatisfaction with language barriers, as this can lead to unmet expectations and disappointing results.
Don't Overlook Customer Reviews Regarding Skill and Expertise
Choosing a service provider based solely on attractive pricing may compromise the quality of your experience. Focus on reviews that praise the skill and expertise of stylists and technicians to avoid unprofessional services that can damage your hair or nails.
Don't Accept Unreliable Appointment Management
Salons that do not respect appointment scheduling and regularly keep customers waiting may prioritize efficiency over customer care. Read reviews that highlight timely service and a respectful approach to scheduling to ensure a positive and stress-free visit.
