I’ve seen Anthony a couple of times for various issues with my back and neck, and he is just really wonderful. He listens hard, asks lots of questions to really understand, then literally resolves my issues every single time - I usually only need one session, and he even offers a quick free 10-minute check after. He gives me exercises so I get stronger and don’t have the problem again, and the relief has lasted. He’s very responsive, easy to book online, always on time, professional, and the price felt fair.

I did breathwork sessions with Lottie - kind of counseling through the breath - once a week for a year before doing her training, and it was completely life transforming for me. She’s very intuitive, well trained, and knows how to hold space, and I’m not easy to hold space for. I went back for a trade session last week as part of the training and it was again consistently great. Price felt fair and I honestly can’t say anything negative.

I met Audrey years ago and have been going back since. She’s a chiropractor who fixes the body based on the spine and also helps unlock the emotional part, which together has been really helpful for my health condition. Her space is super welcoming, feels like a second home, she’s kind and always explains what she’s doing, keeps learning new methods, and I can book online with her assistant often finding me a last-minute slot, though sometimes there’s a slight delay. Price feels fair for the results."

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there English-speaking doctors in Barcelona?
Yes. Barcelona has many English-speaking doctors, dentists and specialists, especially in private clinics used to international patients. We list ones reviewed by other expats, so you can find the right fit before you're unwell.
How do I see a doctor in Barcelona as a newcomer?
You can register with the public system once you have your health number, but many expats use private clinics for speed and for English-speaking care. For non-emergencies, booking a private GP is usually quick.
Is healthcare free in Spain?
The public system is heavily subsidised and low-cost rather than completely free, with small fees for some services. Private care costs more but is faster and easier to access in English.
Can I get antibiotics here without a prescription?
No, antibiotics need a prescription in Spain, so you'll need to see a doctor first. Pharmacies are everywhere though, and pharmacists are genuinely helpful for minor issues.
How do I find a dentist who speaks English?
Plenty of Barcelona dentists work with international patients in English. Check the reviews for both the clinic and the specific treatment you need, which is what our listings are built around.
