I’ve seen Anthony a couple of times for various issues with my back and neck, and he is just really wonderful. He listens hard, asks lots of questions to really understand, then literally resolves my issues every single time - I usually only need one session, and he even offers a quick free 10-minute check after. He gives me exercises so I get stronger and don’t have the problem again, and the relief has lasted. He’s very responsive, easy to book online, always on time, professional, and the price felt fair.

I’m working with Patricia y Mercè at MPC to set up and run my freelance autónomo, and also for my taxes. We started in December and began working together in January; I sent them the documents, and I’m already freelancing. After the first meeting, most of our communication has been via WhatsApp, which works perfectly for me. Their website mentioned that they offer service in English, but our meetings were in Spanish. This wasn’t a problem for me, while it was a bit challenging at times, my partner, who is Spanish, joined the meetings, which helped. In the end, it all worked out smoothly, and I appreciate how accommodating they were. It was more a minor difference between what was advertised and the reality, but certainly not an issue for me. They are very accessible, always answer my questions quickly, and overall, I feel I got a very good price compared to other services I looked into.

I had a great time on the boat trip with Artur; I didn’t expect it and it was great, I loved it. He treats you super well and cares about everything - the space, the place, the boat - everything felt like a story, and the walk itself with the views and the sunset was wonderful, beautiful, beautiful. He explains everything with such tenderness that you just relax, and I would repeat it again, I’m even looking to do it again with my family. Price felt fair and his work is worth it, more than anything he is a good host and you pay it with pleasure.

A burst pipe or a tripping fuse box is stressful enough without having to mime the problem. Frequently Asked Questions

Are there English-speaking handymen and tradespeople in Barcelona?
Yes, and demand from the expat community means more tradespeople now say up front that they speak English. We list plumbers, electricians, cleaners and handymen reviewed by other expats, so you're not guessing.
How do I find a reliable handyman quickly?
For non-emergencies, browse by the job and read recent reviews. For urgent problems like a leak, look for someone who offers fast or emergency callouts. Phone-verified reviews help you avoid the no-shows.
How do I explain a repair if my Spanish is limited?
A photo or short video of the problem does most of the work, and many tradespeople here are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking pro takes the stress out of it entirely.
Will I get a quote before the work starts?
You should. It's normal to ask for an estimate and what the callout costs before anyone starts, and good tradespeople are happy to put it in writing.
Can I book regular help, like weekly cleaning?
Yes, many cleaners and home-service providers offer regular weekly or fortnightly slots, usually at a better rate than one-offs. Look for it in their listing or just ask.
