I had an issue after changing my home internet: my robot vacuum wouldn’t stay connected to the external modems, so it cleaned half the apartment and then disconnected. Adrian came the next day, reset the whole modem, set up my channels, connected the external modems into one setup, fixed an orange cable problem, and patiently worked on some old TV cables in my very old building, and the robot is actually working properly now. His English is okay, he was on time and responded quickly, and the price felt reasonable, though he doesn’t really like to negotiate. He seems pretty resourceful and I would definitely use him again.

Adrian was amazing. He came on time with everything prepared, was super communicative on WhatsApp asking for pictures and instructions, and kept checking if this is how I wanted it. He mounted my TV on the wall, hid the cables, brought all the screws and gear, and also set up a chandelier - did the electricity, drilled the ceiling, the whole thing - in about an hour and a half to two hours. The chandelier is slightly not straight which I think I can quickly fix, but overall it was great and the price felt more than fair, I’m already recommending him and would use him again.

Adrian was great - he spoke English as described and put together an electric standing desk for me with many, many parts. He was very polite, perfectly on time, and very nice, and I would hire him again. Booking was easy and quick on WhatsApp, I scheduled within two days, he was very responsive, easy to pay, and he sent an invoice after. The price felt fair - not super cheap - and he gave me a fixed quote, estimated the time, and it took exactly as he said.

Dos and Don’ts as an expat
Smart choices: dos and don’ts when hiring a curtain installer
Do’s
Do Research Their Installation Skills
Before hiring a curtain installer, make sure to look for providers who demonstrate strong installation skills. Check reviews that highlight their attention to detail, quality of work, and ability to handle various types of curtains and installations.
Do Evaluate Their Customer Service
Choose a curtain installer who is praised for their excellent customer service. Look for reviews mentioning responsiveness, friendliness, and willingness to address concerns, as this can ensure a smoother experience throughout the process.
Do Ask for Recommendations and References
To make an informed decision, ask potential curtain installers for references from previous clients. Hearing firsthand about others' positive experiences can give you valuable insights into the reliability and quality of their services.
Do Verify Their Experience with Different Curtain Types
Select an installer who has experience with a variety of curtain styles, materials, and mechanisms. Positive reviews often highlight versatility in handling different installations, which can help ensure your specific needs are met efficiently.
Dont’s
Don't Hire Without Checking Reviews
Always read customer reviews before choosing a curtain installer. Many customers report poor experiences due to lack of transparency, missed deadlines, and low-quality service. Reviews can provide insight into reliability and overall work quality, helping you make a more informed decision.
Don't Neglect to Confirm Qualifications
Ensure that any curtain installer you consider is qualified and experienced. Customers often mention dissatisfaction with untrained installers who lack the necessary skills, leading to issues like improper installation or damage to property. Verify their expertise to avoid potential problems.
Don't Ignore the Importance of Estimates
Always request a detailed written estimate before work begins. Customers have faced unexpected costs and charges due to vague or verbal quotes from installers. A clear estimate helps set expectations and can protect you from hidden fees later in the process.
Don't Accept Delays Without Consequences
If a curtain installer fails to meet deadlines, it's crucial not to overlook this issue. Many customers have reported significant delays without explanation or apology. Establish clear timelines and consider alternatives if promises are not met promptly to avoid frustrating experiences.
