I had a couple of Portuguese classes with Augusto from Pathfinder Languages. He did an evaluation on the first class to know my level and goal for business use, then gave me a textbook and a PDF so I could track it online, and taught me useful phrases for day-to-day business situations; he was very polite and showed up on time. Sometimes the questions I asked didn’t go through perfectly and a few were not completely solved, probably because English isn’t his first language. I wish there was a platform like a shared folder to access all the materials instead of getting them after each class on WhatsApp or LINE, and I would like more real-use Portuguese. I signed up in Auguso's online course, I found him through an app where students are matched according to teachers of their preference. He did a really good job. It was my first time learning Portuguese. It is really hard to learn, the grammar, he prepared different kinds of materials, videos. The pronunciation was hard and he is really really patient. I come from an Asian country and some pronunciation are hard to do. He was really patient. I am now back in HK but I think I have reached A1 or A2 level. I think price was also fair!

In just one year, maybe 14 or 15 months, I went from barely being capable of having a conversation to speaking comfortably without a Brazilian accent, and it helped me land international clients.
