I joined because it was the more economical option. I work remotely and usually pop in a couple days a week, sometimes three, and I really like the three different locations with different vibes - Avenida is very quiet and my favorite for busy days, Chiado is more sociable with good food and chatting, and Caparica is literally on the beach and super chilled. Wi-Fi is great, seating has lots of variety so I can use a real desk or a sofa, coffee and tea are included with the occasional snack, food is extra, desks are first come first serve, meeting rooms are bookable, and there are regular events like talks or yoga with a schedule at the desk. It’s clean and friendly, and I stick with a monthly membership so I can move between locations, though friends sometimes just use Croissant.

Sofia

Lisbon on Nov 2025

I organized a kickoff for our leadership team there last December, with people coming from several parts of Europe, and everything was great. We booked rooms and catering as a package - the number of rooms worked, the food was good, breakfast and lunch were served on time, and the language skills were all good. Everything went perfect from start to finish. Pricing felt quite reasonable to me, though I can see it being a bit high for local folks.

I mostly use the Chiado space and it feels homely and clean, with a super friendly team and a real community vibe where I actually get work done. Wi-Fi has never been an issue, there are quiet rooms and chatty rooms, and a mix of seating from low relaxed tables to proper laptop-height desks; Avenida even has a microwave and kitchen area, and Chiado has a bar with food plus coffee and drinks with the membership. I used to go nearly every day when working remotely and now I’m often there for the Thursday events, and if I message on WhatsApp or Instagram they reply fast about how busy it is even though there’s no system for that. Price feels fair compared to camping in coffee shops, toilets are always clean even if the female ones can feel a bit neglected sometimes, and overall it ticks all the boxes for me.

What should I check before hiring events spaces in Lisbon?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and an estimate in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check they hold the right credentials for the job.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other expats' reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and communicates clearly.

Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.

A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.
