I found OpayGarden on Instagram and needed my terrace redone with a transverse coating, plus removing the old tile. Pauline was very available - she came quickly to see the site, we set an agenda, she advised me on the type of coating with mood boards, even suggested pots she brings from Morocco to dress the terrace, and everything was cleaned after. The work was done very well from A to Z and she kept checking in afterward, communication was perfect; there were tiny delays here and there but nothing that bothered me. Overall I’m very satisfied and the price felt fair for what was done.

Claire was absolutely excellent. She listened to my wishes, made good suggestions, was very responsive, and her team has excellent customer service. She did a complete garden renewal for us with lots of soil and plants and other bits; we first talked in June, started in January, and the whole job took about a week. Costs were clear from the start with a paid concept phase and exact quotes, and when something extra came up she told me first so I could decide - it ended up more than I thought but felt fair. I would happily use her again.

Barral

Lisbon on May 2025

I had a plot we wanted to build on that was basically old forest, and they cleared it, including two big, tall pines that others wouldn’t touch because it seemed dangerous, and they did it efficiently and very pro. We also had long chats about plant choices based on shade, exposure, soil, and which areas we’d actually use vs just decorative, and that advice was super clear and helpful. Communication in French was easy, and the fact they can handle Portuguese with other crews is a real plus. Price felt fair compared to what we saw elsewhere.

What is the most important thing to know before booking?

Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.

A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.

In Portuguese, landscaping are usually called paisagismo. That is the word to search for or to ask a neighbour, though many professionals here are used to the English term too.
