I hired Anton and Roman to install an Ikea kitchen and a wooden countertop. They did a great job with the countertop, which looks amazing despite the complexity of what we wanted. The kitchen was installed well, but they initially put in a wrong drawer, which caused a delay. Thankfully, they corrected it quickly once I noticed. The whole installation took two weeks, which felt a bit long, especially since our kitchen is small. But we live in an old building so maybe that's the reason. I wish they had started earlier in the day (8-9 am instead of 11.30-12.30). Overall, they offered a better price than another carpenter and were nice and pleasant to work with.

I hired Lavender Glow for my pool and they are very reliable people. If there is some problem, they fix it and try to find out what it is. They don’t just go with the normal respirator, they even go inside the pool and take out many things, the guy works good and doesn’t mind doing the hard stuff. Price felt perfect, these guys are amazing.

I had a wooden door that got flooded after the storm, and he answered very quickly the same day, came with his colleague, made different proposals and suggested repairing the door instead of replacing it. We chose to repair - more efficient, faster, cheaper - and the whole process was very rigorous with close contact on WhatsApp, they were super reliable, very nice and very efficient, and he even got me in touch with people for another job. I also went to a small private salon for a haircut and color, and she was very invested, took the time to listen and advise on style and color, and adapted well to me; she didn’t push consumption and even told me not to change the color for now. The salon is very clean, very bright, cozy, I was alone which I liked, the online booking is super practical, and the price felt correct with several payment options.

Frequently Asked Questions

What expats want to know before hiring pool cleaners in Lisbon.

Are there English-speaking pool cleaners in Lisbon?
Yes, and more do as the expat community grows. The hard part is knowing who is reliable before you book, so every one we list is reviewed by other expats who have actually used them.
What should I check before hiring pool cleaners in Lisbon?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and an estimate in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check they hold the right credentials for the job.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other expats' reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and communicates clearly.
What should I avoid when hiring pool cleaners in Lisbon?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.
How do I explain what I need if my Portuguese is limited?
A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.
How do you say pool cleaners in Portuguese?
In Portuguese, pool cleaners are usually called manutencao de piscinas. That is the word to search for or to ask a neighbour, though many professionals here are used to the English term too.
How do I find pool cleaners I can trust in Lisbon?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real expat experience, not who paid the most.
