Mathilde

Paris on Nov 2025

I’m a filmmaker and have worked with Juliette on a few projects for costume design, styling and a bit of production design. On one film she designed dresses for a dream sequence - she got the fabric, sewed them and they were really well crafted, and she was there from pre-production and saw the whole art direction through for almost a year. She’s super talented, very, very diligent, very communicative and responsive, super dynamic and high spirits, very minutious and attentive to detail, and she got along with the whole team which is a big plus. Pricing felt fair and she was flexible on the rate, and overall she’s such a joy to work with.

I’m very happy with her; she did a great job. She designed the logo for my new company and did all the stationery and so forth, did it fast and did it very well, and deliveries were on time. Communication in English was smooth and easy. I would recommend her, and the price felt reasonable.

How much do graphic designers cost in Lisbon?

Real price ranges from the jobs our vetted graphic designers actually do. Updated June 2026

Brand identity

How much does a full brand identity cost in Lisbon?

Identity work is a logo plus everything around it: colours, type, usage rules and templates. It costs several times a logo alone because most of the work is the system, not the mark.

Full identity package
€600 to €5,000
Entry-level identity
from €350
Hourly rate
€25 to €30 an hour

Brochures and flyers

How much does a brochure cost to design in Lisbon?

Priced by page count and by how much of the layout repeats. Supplying finished text and images cuts the cost noticeably, since writing and sourcing are the slow parts.

Flyer or short brochure
€200 to €400
Longer multi-page brochure
€300 to €700

Business cards and stationery

How much does stationery design cost in Lisbon?

Cards and letterheads are quick once a brand exists, and expensive if the designer has to invent one first. Printing is quoted separately by the printer.

Design only, brand exists
€200 to €400
Hourly rate
€25 to €30 an hour

Packaging design

How much does packaging design cost in Lisbon?

Packaging costs more than flat print work because it has to survive a dieline, a printer's tolerances and often legal label requirements. Involve your printer before the design is final.

Single pack design
€300 to €700
Range or multiple SKUs
from €700

Posters and signage

How much does poster or signage design cost in Lisbon?

Design is modest; production and mounting are usually the bigger cost and come from a different supplier. Ask for print-ready files in the sizes your printer wants.

Single poster or sign
€200 to €400
Hourly rate
€25 to €30 an hour

Logo design

How much does a logo cost in Lisbon?

Logo prices split cleanly by who does the work: a junior freelancer, an experienced designer, or a studio. The cheap end usually means fewer concepts and fewer rounds of changes, so ask how many of each you get.

Freelance, simple mark
€200 to €400
Experienced designer
€300 to €700
Studio or agency
from €700

Presentation design

How much does presentation design cost in Lisbon?

Usually a template you can refill yourself, occasionally a one-off deck for something that matters. Supplying final content first avoids paying for the same slide twice.

Deck or template
€200 to €400
Hourly rate
€25 to €30 an hour

Animation and motion graphics

How much does motion graphics cost in Lisbon?

Motion is charged by the second of finished animation, and revisions cost more than in static work because each change re-renders. Lock the script and storyboard first.

Short animation
€300 to €700
Longer or complex piece
from €700

Digital ads

How much does ad creative cost in Lisbon?

Ad sets are priced per campaign and per number of sizes, since every placement needs its own crop. Agree the size list before work starts, because adding formats later is what inflates these quotes.

Campaign creative set
€200 to €400
Hourly rate
€25 to €30 an hour

Illustration

How much does custom illustration cost in Lisbon?

Illustration is priced per piece and varies with style and licence. Ask what the licence covers, since a drawing bought for a website is not automatically yours to print on packaging.

Single illustration
€200 to €400
Set or series
from €700

Infographics

How much does an infographic cost in Lisbon?

Cost tracks how much thinking the data needs, not how it looks. Arriving with a clear structure rather than a spreadsheet is the difference between the low and high end.

Single infographic
€200 to €400
Complex or data-heavy
€300 to €700

Social media graphics

How much do social media graphics cost in Lisbon?

Usually sold as a template set you then reuse yourself, which is far cheaper than commissioning posts one at a time. Monthly retainers exist if you would rather not touch it.

Template set
€200 to €400
Hourly rate
€25 to €30 an hour

Event branding and signage

How much does event branding cost in Lisbon?

Event work bundles a look with a long list of physical items, and the deadline is immovable, so late briefs cost more. Confirm production lead times before promising a date.

Event identity and materials
€300 to €700
Larger events
from €700

Wedding and party invitations

How much do invitation designs cost in Lisbon?

Invitations are priced per suite rather than per hour, and printing on good paper often costs more than the design. Order samples before the full run.

Invitation suite, design only
€200 to €400

Frequently Asked Questions

What expats want to know before hiring graphic designers in Lisbon.

Are there English-speaking graphic designers in Lisbon?
Yes, and more do as the expat community grows. The hard part is knowing who is reliable before you book, so every one we list is reviewed by other expats who have actually used them.
What should I check before hiring graphic designers in Lisbon?
Read recent reviews, be clear about exactly what you need, and agree the scope and an estimate in writing before any work starts. For anything regulated, check they hold the right credentials for the job.
What is the most important thing to know before booking?
Be clear about what you want and get the price and scope agreed up front, so there are no surprises. Reading other expats' reviews is the quickest way to find someone who does the job well and communicates clearly.
What should I avoid when hiring graphic designers in Lisbon?
Avoid paying the full amount up front (a deposit can be fair), anyone who will not give a clear quote, and unusually cheap prices that get padded with extras later.
How do I explain what I need if my Portuguese is limited?
A photo, a short video or a written list does most of the talking, and the professionals we list are used to international clients. Booking an English-speaking one takes the stress out of it entirely.
How do you say graphic designers in Portuguese?
In Portuguese, graphic designers are usually called designers graficos. That is the word to search for or to ask a neighbour, though many professionals here are used to the English term too.
How do I find graphic designers I can trust in Lisbon?
Check the reviews and any credentials before you book. On Locallista the reviews are phone-verified and the ranking is based on real expat experience, not who paid the most.

Dos and Don’ts as an expat

Smart choices: dos and don’ts when hiring a graphic designer

Do’s
Do Prioritize Clear Communication
Select a graphic designer who excels in clear and consistent communication. This ensures that your vision is understood and that you remain informed throughout the design process, resulting in a final product that meets your expectations.
Do Look for Versatile Creativity
Choose a graphic designer known for their exceptional creativity and technical skills. Look for evidence of their ability to handle various styles and mediums, as this flexibility can greatly enhance the quality of your project.
Do Evaluate Turnaround Times
Assess potential graphic designers based on their ability to deliver projects within your required timelines. A track record of quick turnaround without compromising quality indicates a professional who's capable of meeting tight deadlines.
Do Seek Client Testimonials
Look for graphic designers with positive reviews highlighting their professionalism and work ethic. Testimonials from previous clients can provide valuable insights into their reliability and the quality of their deliverables.
Dont’s
Don't Ignore Communication Skills
Effective communication is crucial when collaborating with graphic designers. A lack of responsiveness or unclear communication can lead to misunderstandings and unmet expectations. Ensure potential hires demonstrate strong communication abilities during initial interactions.
Don't Settle for Unclear Project Boundaries
Before hiring a graphic designer, clearly define project scope and boundaries. Avoid those who may not specify their services, as it can lead to unfulfilled expectations and unnecessary complications later on in the project.
Don't Overlook the Importance of Creativity and Adaptability
Choose graphic designers who show a strong sense of creativity and can adapt to your specific needs. Designers who are rigid in their approach may not bring your vision to life or offer innovative solutions to challenges.
Don't Ignore Past Client Experiences
Research previous client reviews carefully before making a decision. Avoid designers with consistent negative feedback regarding their reliability, work quality, or ability to meet deadlines, as this can save you from future disappointments.
Don't Underestimate the Value of Quality Over Price
While it's tempting to choose the cheapest graphic design service, prioritize quality and expertise instead. Cutting corners on price can compromise the final outcome of your project, leading to dissatisfaction down the line.
